Win one of 3 red top fly traps in time for the summer fly season.
It doesn’t matter what your chosen pet is, they will all produce faeces that to a greater or lesser extent will attract flies, especially when the ambient temperature starts to rise. A fly trap is the ideal way to tackle them.
Red Top Fly Traps work by using a special attractant. It’s supplied in powder form and you simply add water to it. After a few days left to brew it will start to attract flies. The beauty of these fly catchers is that they reacy to the temperature. On a cool day when there are less flies around you’ll barely notice it but on a hot day when the flies are most active you’ll notice it’s attractive odour. When the instruction tell you to use it away from where you live and spend time there is a good reason. Ideally they should be placed in a infrequently used area of your garden that still receives fully sunshine. Each fly trap will catch several thousand flies preventing them from breeding. It’s not a pretty sight so another reason to position it away from the house. Once the trap is full the contents can be added to the compost heap or simply put in the bin.

Used these for last two years. Won’t lie they stink like something dead and when at optimum full of flies totally gross you out. BUT
so would a house full of flies and these things really do work. They also stop the females flies from reproducing as smell mainly attracts them so a double whammy! If like me you live close to other houses they attract from a large area so also help keep flies away from the neighbours properties.
I have a 10 year old house bunny who doesn’t move very fast so one of these traps would be great to help combat fly-strike when she’s relaxing in the garden!
Would be great for near my bunnies, flies are such a worry for a rabbit owner, especially in summer.
