Extra large run for use with Omlet Cube
This run was commissioned by Julie from Fowlty Towers who provides a hen boarding service. This was to replace her old run that was over tens years old and gradually falling apart. The previous run had the 2 Cube’s inside it but this time they were to be placed outside to give easier access. It also gave her the opportunity to perform some ground work to reduce the flooding and lay concrete foundations for the run.
The run is based around a standard Wells Poultry designed large chicken run 9×21′. It has a 12″ base plinth to allows a good layer of litter to be used in the bottom of the run without it blowing around the garden. There is an internal divider to provide a smaller, segregated area ideal for introducing new hens or as an isolation area. This is joined to the main run with a pophole. The main run has 2 popholes to connect to the 2 omlet cubes Julie uses for her own hens.
How to order this from our website
Start with a basic chicken run, 9×21′ with 12″ base plinth with a pophole.
For the extra parts to split the run in two you need to add 2 panels and an extra door
Final, to allow the omlet cube to attach to the outside add 2 omlet sliding popholes
We assembled this run onsite as you can see in the above stop motion video.
There are 2 charges for this, one based on the value of the housing which relates to the time taken to put it up and another charge based on the traveling distance. We use google maps to work this out from our base in South Wales.
