On site installation of a large chicken coop and run.

Our first onsite installation of the year was this 9×27′ chicken coop and run.

Our customer had opted to have the anti dig mesh skirt which you can see around the perimeter. This lays on the surface and will be absorbed into the grass protecting the area adjacent to the run as this is the most likely place a fox will dig. Generally, you only need to make your chickens a more difficult source of food than the next nearest source of food for them to be safe.  In 10 years we have had no reports of a fox getting into any of our runs.

This run has the 12″ base plinth.  Not only does this give the run some extra height, it allows you to use litter in the bottom of the run without it falling through the mesh.

The perch area is 9×3′ with 2×9′ perches. There is enough space in here for up to 25 hens.  It has internal nest boxes that are accessed via 2 drop down doors on the rear of the coop.  As an option we can also supply external nest boxes.  These give a little more floor area which may be useful if you are near capacity.

It is topped off with a corroline roof.  Our standard colour is green although we can supply other colours as an option.
