Which automatic chicken door opener do i need?

All door openers have the facility to manually open and close the door as well as their automatic functions.

If you only want to open and close the chicken door according to the time of day the AS standard automatic chicken door opener is for you. It will lift up to 1 kg.

If you want to open and close according to light level or time, or a combination of these then the ASTi Premium automatic chicken door opener is the door opener you'll want. This unit will lift up to 2kg.

If you live somewhere that is either hot or cold then the AST Extreme automatic chicken door opener is the one to choose. This has uprated components and weather proofing to give it an operating range of -30c to +50c. It also has the strongest motor lifting up to 4 kg.

Great Product - Easy set-up

What more could you want. I love it. I know exactly when my girls are up and about and can plan accordingly and relax knowing they are safely closed in at night, should I not be there to do it myself.

a good product for safe hens

Just the job. Our hens are now safe from Mr Fox. Operating instructions were not as simple as I had hoped, with different headings being described from what was actually displayed. But it could all be worked out with a bit of time. Delivery was over a month which is far, far too long.

Excellent piece of kit

This door opener arrived quickly and was easy to set up and operate. The most basic in the range, it only has the timer option, I have set the timer to let the chickens out way after it is light when foxes have gone to bed, and to close at dark with the chickens in the coop a good half hour earlier.
