V1 general purpose Disinfectant. The first ever non-toxic, non-irritant, Virucidal Disinfectant which is made using only natural plant derived non-toxic ingredients and suitable for use in organic farming systems.
Suitable for use in Organic Farming Systems: Barrier V1 is made using only pure and natural concentrated plant derivatives, which are entirely non-toxic and non-irritant. All of our products fall into the exempt category of products which use only plant oils as active ingredients, as listed in Annexe IIB (Pesticides) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 (as amended), and so this product is suitable for use in organic farming systems.
Uses: Barrier V1 is a MAFF approved virucidal disinfectant for use against Diseases of Poultry at 1:50 parts water and General Orders at 1:40 parts water.
Contents: Barrier V1 is a truly unique product in that it contains only natural plant derivates which are FEMA registered. Barrier V1 is entirely non-toxic, non-irritant, kind the animal, the user and the environment.
Organic matter: Barrier V1 is not affected by organic matter. It has a pleasant smell and when used in intensive rearing housing and when the heat is up, it vaporises and continues to protect against bacteria.
Compatibility: Barrier V1 is entirely natural and non-toxic and is not compatible with Phenolics, Iodine, Formaldehyde, Organic Acid, Organo-Phosphates, Inorganic Acids or Hydrogen Peroxide.
Application: For terminal disinfection, dilute at 1:50 parts water and apply to all internal structures, walls, ceilings, floors and posts. Ideal to use in professional kitchens or in food handling areas. Ideal for use on utensils and food preparation surfaces.
Other organisms: Barrier V1 has been independently tested at a dilution rate of 1:40 parts water against a wide range of other organisms and has an effective kill rate against a wide range of bacteria including Salmonella (all types), E. Coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Aspe
Day old Chicks: For intensive rearers and where quick turnaround is essential, Barrier V1 is ideal. Re-entry is immediate and just one hour after application, shavings or other bedding can be spread. Day old chicks can be introduced as soon as the bedding is ready.
Safety data: When designing Barrier V1, great consideration was given to operator safety, the conservation of wildlife, care of the environment and operator safety. BUT as in all good hygiene programmes, protective clothing should be worn.

Wouldn't be without! I bought it because I liked the fact it was derived from natural plant derivatives. I bought it together with the 1.5lt spray bottle. It makes the eglu smell lovely and I feel it does a thorough job of disenfecting. Anon - Camrbidge

good product Cleans well and smells pleasant. Although we do allow pen and coop to dry before chickens go back in we feel confident in using a product that can't cause them any harm. -

good product My henrun has rubber chippings on the floor, which need regular hosing. I've found that a solution of 100ml of V1 in a 2-gallon can of water, sprinkled on once a week, is a very effective way of keeping it pleasantly sweet-smelling and disinfected, with no danger to the hens when they scratch in it Virginia Lee - Hampshire, U.K.
