Nettex Total Mite Kill Powder 300g
fast acting miticides for rapid knockdown & kill
MITES ARE A BIG PROBLEM
How do you know if your chickens have Red Mite problems? You will notice two things; firstly your egg production will start to go down as the chickens need to replace the lost blood taken by the Red Mites (which means less energy to produce eggs) and secondly, the chickens will start to peck each other where they see the infestation usually just at the base of the birds tail feathers. At this point the problem is likely to be causing stress and is getting serious. Keep a close eye out for any pecking behaviour and also any bald, bloody patches appearing on your birds.
TOTAL MITE KILL POWDER
Is a natural, non toxic mite control powder that can be applied directly onto all type's of birds and poultry. Containing Silica Shelled Fossilised Diatoms, it's killing action works mechanically on the surface of the pests, breaking down their waxy protective coating, causing them to dehydrate and die.
Effective against Red, northern, cyst and spider mites and other insects such as cockroaches, ants, silverfish and termites.

No mite problems while using Got this as a preventative, so can't comment on its power at getting rid of them but we certainly haven't had them while using. -
Good product Good product, although expensive for the amount Dlocket - West Midlands
THis powder is certainly helping, particularly by dusting the individual birds. It has not eradicated the problem because the mites are deeply embedded in all the nooks and crannies of the coops. The best thing is that it is safe to use. -
Still awaiting egg production to increase. The chickens are looking a lot better but the problem was serious before I found the reason for the drop in egg production they were all feeding well I though it was the annual moult I am using it regular also spaying weekly with the liquid form as part of my cleaning process.
