Customer Reviews for: Emperor Outdoor poultry / Chicken Feeder 9 out of 10 based on14 ratings. 14 user reviews.
Great value for money Excellent feeder overall as it saves topping up small feeders daily. However, feed does tend to get stuck in the tunnel every so often, so you have to be vigilant and shake the barrel or manually unblock the holes periodically. Also, tray could be deeper to reduce wastage. -
Great Idea Got it today, super fast delivery, easy to assemble(woman done it herself):-) Food easily wasted on floor but going to try some chicken wire or something over the top to see if this helps the situation. Jennifer Bell - Cumbria
Emperor Feeder is v.good. Had it 3 weeks. I fitted a spring feeder to the bottom. Birds got used to it on first day. Very robust, works well. Very happy with it. RobinGB - Romsey
Selective reviews Left a 3 star rating for this product but bizarrely it wasn't displayed! If they only show the most positive reviews it makes the whole thing a farce! Product is ok but has faults, it doesn't like any feed even a tiny bit bigger than chicken pencils and there's a lot of wastage on the ground (Wells Poultry added: We included all reviews positive or otherwise unless we feel they are mis-leading or inaccurate. The most common reason for refusing a review is that the customer has failed to install the product correctly or they have left an anonomous feedback) Farmer Dave - South Wales
The bigger the better? Had several problems with feeder. Turkey feed wouldn't flow properly and often found dispenser tray empty despite hopper being full. Changed food to smaller pellet but now seem to get lots of feed being wasted in spillage on ground, a kg over a weekend! But well built and robust, should last. Farmer Dave - South Wales
Great Brilliant except for the feeding tray is a bit shallow and allows soillage by the chickens. Delivery to Ireland in 3 days fantastic service. Shay Power - Ireland
Great This product is well projected, it can contain a lot of feed and it take food away from water, the only problem is that chicken lost in the ground a huge amount of food eating, so i modified the tray with a thin net around it to assure the food not to felle in the ground. With this i'm very happy!! -
just what we expected 1st class product, bomb proof, excellent design, feed stays bone dry all through Argyll (west coast of Scotland) winter, gives us the freedom to happily leave chooks for a few days, knowing they will have food and water -
Excellent Meant I could go away and all my neighbour had to do weas collect the eggs daily... holds vast quantities and makes life very easy. Fowler - from the Chicken Run
Good but goes through the pellets This has been a good buy. Robust and watertight. Used outdoors in run area woodchip/earth and keeps feed dry. The chickens (4) do tend to get through the feed a lot faster though as a lot of pellets are lost to mush in the ground when feeding. Would like to see a deeper tray for holding pellets.
