Walk in Chicken Run for use with Omlet Cube chicken coops

9×27′ chicken run to attach to Omlet Cube chicken coops

Today job was to assemble this walk-in chicken run for use with 2 Omlet Cube chicken coops.  All the parts are pre-made in our workshop in Wales so little extras like the high level popholes to match the Omlet Cube are easy to incorporate.

This run has a central divider so the 2 flocks it will be used with can be kept separate but there is also another pop hole to enable them to mix freely between the 2 sections.

The run has the 12″ base plinth so the run can be used with a good layer of litter as in the deep litter method of poultry keeping.  It also provides some wind protection for your birds.

We also supplied anti dig mesh but it’s not yet been fitted as there is still a little bit more ground work needed to let the chicken run sit on the ground correctly.  This is why the back end looks slightly twist as there is a high spot on the rear left hand corner.  It’s quite easy to remove problem bumps like this once the run has been built.  Once the run is levelled the anti dig mesh slides under the edge of the run and sits on the surface preventing anything starting to dig with 12″ of the chicken run.  We find this is an effective way to fox proof the chicken run.  The mesh will be absorbed into the grass over time which will then hold it securely.  This method also means you don’t need to disturb the earth just prior to building the chicken run which can cause a lot of mesh as would happen if you buried mesh into the ground

You can buy our basic chicken runs from our website, prices start from only £482 for a 9×6′ run.

For this particular version you’d need to call us to discuss the extras.  This specification of chicken run will cost you a little under £1800.  You can then either have it just delivered with DIY assembly, or we can deliver and assemble it for you.
