We've finally found a manufacturer who's designed a solution to overheating lamp holders in heat lamps. These heat lamps are fitted with cooling fins to reduce the lamp holder temperature and extend the life of the fitting .
These lamps are ideal for whelping a litter of pups, raising chicks or for any other time animals require extra heat.
When not in use these lamps can be packed away, 10 lamps need less than 60x30x30cm of storage space - about the same space as 3 of our standard lamps.

Excellent service, although out of stock at the time of ordering still let me place the order so I knew I would definitely get one. What can I say - product and service excellent! I bought the large pro heat lamp to heat an outdoor kennel for 2 springers and a lab. We have never used one before so checked out the reviews on Wells and are really satisfied. The kennel was toasty warm when I let the dogs out this morning. Excellent product I purchased this in readiness for lambing. But when temperatures plummeted to -15 C I rigged it up in my barn to keep the chill off my 2 calves. I set it up in the corner so they had the option to use it or not. They soon found it and spent the nights snuggled up together under it. (24/02/2012) -
I cannot fault the quality of these lamps I bought 4 of these lamps to put into individual dog kennel pens, fitted with white ceramic 100w lamps. They are perfect in my older style kennels, with sveral buildings, because I can hae background heat and if an individual pen is occupied, a lamp can be put above the pen, out of reach of dogs.
