Build your own poultry Plucker
There are several designs of commercial pluckers available but this can cost £1000. With some basic engineering skills you can build your own tub style wet poultry plucker. Most parts can be scavanged and the book "Anyone Can Build a Tub-Style Mechanical Chicken Plucker" will guide you through the parts to look for and how to build them into your own chicken plucker. You'll also need the rubber plucker fingers. We stock 2 type, the standard strenght fingers for most poultry and the softer fingers that are more suitable for game. |
