This is the minimum size we recommend for use with fully grown birds as the smaller feeders are more susceptible to being knocked over. This feeder is adequate for up to 20 hens if filled daily.
Top Tip:

Excellent my Hens are messy and some of their pellets are pecked out but the quality of the feeder is very good. I take it out of the run every evening and it is very easy to fill and clean. We have it hanging not on the floor. (30/12/2009) -

Well designed! These feeders are well designed for either sitting on the floor or suspending to prevent being toppled. Quite easy to dismantle and clean in the utility sink when necessary. Stopping nut and washer from coming loose Mine unscrewed because hens spun it when feeding and so turned the central spindle. I put a 25lb Berkely ball-bearing swivel for sea-fishing lines into the wire I hang the feeder from, and it no longer undoes the nut as it can turn freely without torque in the wire.
